The Mayor of L’Alfàs del Pi, Vicent Arques, paid an institutional visit to the former BBVA workers’ residence on Albir beach to see first-hand all the details of the imminent start of work on the Delfin Natura real estate project, which will take place, as explained by the CEO of Goya Real Estate, Sergio Vidal, after Easter.
Arques, accompanied by other members of the municipal government team, has been able to observe the main beams of what will be this apartment complex in a consolidated urban environment just a stone’s throw from the beach of l’Albir and the Serra Gelada Natural Park.
The first phase of the Delfin Natura works will last 24 months and at its conclusion the first 82 flats of a total of 186 will be delivered on a plot of more than 30,000 m2, of which only 10,000 m2 will be used for flats and the remaining 20,000 m2 for gardens and orchards.
Vidal focused a large part of his explanation during this visit on highlighting the importance of the landscape as the backbone of Delfin Natura. In fact, “if there is one thing that makes this development unique, it is its large gardens on the ground floor and its spacious terraces, with areas of up to 130 m2, from where the sea and the Serra Gelada Natural Park can be seen”. In addition, the number of floors of the current building will be reduced by half.
From the current 8 to the 4 of the Delfin Natura project, thus improving the visual impact and its integration into the landscape. The site is well known in the Marina Baixa, as since 1963 it was the residence of BBVA employees, pioneers in placing the beach of l’Albir as a tourist destination. And to bear witness to this fact, its gardens will continue to be a prominent feature. The landscaping will integrate the typical species of the Mediterranean forest into the orography of the plot, the existing species will be protected, 300 m2 will be dedicated to local vegetable gardens with two planting areas, one for seasonal vegetables and the other for fruit trees, to recover the agricultural uses as when the residence was surrounded by dry land terraces in its beginnings.
Goya Real Estate’s commitment to a quality real estate product on a plot unique for its location and history renews that pioneering experience in tourism and with a transformative architectural development aims to contribute to turning l’Alfàs del Pi, and more specifically the beach of l’Albir, into a unique place to enjoy holidays but also to live all year round. To this end, Vidal stressed that Delfin Natura will follow the criteria set by the BREEAM (Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Methodology) certificate, which is the world’s leading method for assessing and certifying the sustainability of building construction. A commitment to landscape and sustainability, in a privileged location for living.
